Year 1, Spring 5 [20 Apr 2005|04:16pm] It's been a few days since I've written in my diary. Not many eventful things have happened, but I stumbled across something interesting today. When I went to Celia's house to give her a flower (I've been giving her one daily for a few days), I accidentally stepped on something. I looked down, and it was her diary! It says she has a crush on me, and I hope that it doesn't go away. Takatura said to me today, "Maybe it's none of my business, but you should probably get married, soon." Takatura's a good guy. He's just looking out for me. He went to town with money I gave him to get me a big watering can and a hen and a rooster. I hope to get a fertilized egg, soon. Then I will hatch chicks. Walking around town can get tiring. One day when I was walking, a man named Van who I'd never seen before opened up a shop by the Inn Tim and Ruby run. I checked out some things he had, and he bought lots of flowers and grasses from me! He also bought some fossils, but I kept a few. I may give them as gifts. I met this girl Nami, she's staying at the Inn. She likes fossils, I've given her two. I'm trying really hard to make friends. I give flowers to almost everyone I see, and most people here love them. A few people get offended, though. There's this huge, dark-skinned man who looks very foreign, and I didn't know what to give him. He looks so tough and scary, he paints his face. But, I offered him a flower, and he smiled and took it. He's an artist; he makes art out of metal. I think that's pretty cool. My tomatoes are almost ripe. I'm nto a bad farmer, I think. Usuki's a really nice cow, but I should get her pregnant, soon. I want her to keep giving milk. If she stopped, I'd be poor. post comment

Spring 2, Year 1 [19 Apr 2005|03:04pm] Today was fun, I guess. I woke up at 4, and got all 10 of my tomatoes watered before sunrise. I let Usuki out of the barn to graze and I milked her. She gives four bottles of normal milk, Grade A. I'm very happy to have her. Maybe soon I can buy her a brush. I nuzzle her and talk to her, though, and that makes her happy. I'm worried about her getting dirty, though. I walked around town today, foraging. There are small grasses that I can eat, and there are so many flowers to pick. I picked one outside of Vesta's farm today, and I went inside her house to find Celia. I gave Celia the flower, and she loved it! I think I may have a new crush, although this is only my second day living here. She's just so cute.. And, as a bonus, she's a farmer. I made a bit of money from Usuki's milk from yesterday. After thinking for awhile, I asked Takatura to take the money to buy me a hen. He said sure, and maybe I should go introduce myself to some of the people I haven't met yet. So, I crossed the bridge, and walked past a big cliff. There was a tent, there, and a woman standing there, watching the water. She said her name was Flora, and that she was happy to meet me. She said I could go down some nearby steps to help out at a dig-site that she and her friend Carter were working on. So I did. Carter was nice, and he allowed me to help him dig. I dug up an old coin, some odd fossil, and an old statue. Carter said I could keep all of it! By then it was too late to go down by the beach. I had wanted to, but it was time to milk Usuki. After I did, I put her back into the barn, and filled up her food-trough. I watered my tomatoes one last time. Watering is very time consuming because I always have to go refill my watering can! I'm going to have to ask Takatura to go to town to buy me a bigger one. Well, I'm pretty tired after writing this. I guess I'll write again tomorrow. post comment

First day in Forget-Me-Not-Valley [16 Apr 2005|09:38pm] It's Spring 1, and I received a letter last week. A man named Takatura informed me that my father passed away.. I don't even know what to think. He asked me if I wanted to take over his old farm.. I said yes. The farm is very run-down. I don't know the first thing about running a farm! There is already a cow, though. Her name is Usuki, she's black and white. I can ship her milk to town and get Gold in exchange, which is good. I found a dog and named him Rio. He has floppy ears. Takature said he would build him a doghouse. I pick grasses to eat, I have no money to eat anything else. There's another farm across the river. I went there and bought tomato seeds, and I planted them. A nice woman named Vesta runs the farm, although she's very loud, and she dresses oddly. There's a young woman living with her named Celia, and she seems very nice, too. There was something about the way she looked at me that made me feel funny. Her face is so cute.. Whoops! I shouldn't be talking of such things! I met lots of people in town today. Tim and Ruby run an inn in town, and they have a son named Rock. They all seem very nice, but Rock has blonde hair, and looks nothing like his parents. Both have black hair, and seem tanner than he is. A woman named Muffy works at the bar, and she's very nice-looking. She's got gorgeous blonde hair and stunning green eyes. She flirted with me, too. Griffin runs the bar. He is a nice man who plays guitar. A nice old woman named Romana lives in a mansion on the hill. Her granddaughter Lumina lives there, and she's quite the musician. They have a butler named Sebatian, and he seems to be a very nice man. There are many more people I've not met yet. Tomorrow, when I awake, I will milk Usuki and then head into town to see what else there is to offer. post comment
